Tommy Our Brother, Our Light in the Dark. Rest Now Your Fight Is Over

"Today we gather to remember a young man who lived with passion and fought his battles with the heart of a warrior. In the heavy metal community, music is how we process our deepest pains and honor our greatest souls. To remember him, we look to the words of Anthrax's In the End.

The lyrics ask a question that we are all feeling in our hearts right now:

'Did I thank you for our time together? Did I thank you for making me better?'

We thank him for every moment he gave us. Though his loss leaves us heartbroken, asking 'why', we know his earthly struggle is over. He has laid down his armor. 

He is no longer fighting the heavy battles of this world. He has entered his rest, but his volume will never be turned down. To our brother: You will always be our strength when the sun goes down.

In the end, you'll be my light in the dark. Rest in power."
